Describing CPU, RAM and a Hard Drive

When answering the question so that clients understand the answer, I find it best to use a Kitchen to describe these metaphors.

If you're in a kitchen .. you are the processor, your counter space is RAM and your fridge is the hard drive.

If you have a small amount of counter space you need to pull and push things from the fridge a lot to make space on the counter to process things.

If you have a large counter then you can pull everything you need from the fridge and set it on the counter and work with it till complete then put it all away.

Should you crash in the interim, all your food may spoil while you are in recovery.
